Among the advanced systems supporting Calumet Electronics’ HDI and HBDU capabilities is the Schmid Infinity H+ DES, an automated develop-etch-strip line central to the company’s strategy to expand leading-edge PCB manufacturing for U.S. domestic supply.
The Infinity H+ DES delivers increased etching accuracy for fine-space features along with better control when etching mixed copper weights. That adds up to greater capacity for high layer-count panels, improved yield on fine-feature designs, and more consistent etching on both sides of cores, making it well suited to the complex, high-density work Calumet specializes in.
“Our DES system boosts our capacity to handle high layer-count panels without sacrificing etching accuracy. We’re loving the consistency and flexibility,” said Rob Cooke, Chief Business Officer at Calumet Electronics.
As demand for complex, high layer-count boards grows, partnerships like the one with Schmid let Calumet scale that capability domestically.
